About Filevolo
Filevolo is operated by Tóth Alex EV, an individual entrepreneur in Hungary. The operator's business and contact details are on the Legal Notice. Filevolo publishes the guides on this site and also sells Filevolo Pro; comparisons involving Filevolo should be read with that relationship in mind.
Filevolo exists because most online file tools ask you to upload your document to a server you know nothing about, then hope it gets deleted afterward. For a lot of what people actually need - compressing a PDF before emailing it, converting a photo, stripping the location data out of one before posting it - that upload was never really necessary. The processing can just as easily happen in the browser you already have open.
What "handled properly" means
Most of Filevolo's tools run entirely on your device. The file is read, processed, and turned into a result using your browser's own capabilities - it never gets uploaded, because it never has to be. That is not a privacy-policy promise sitting on top of ordinary upload-based software; it is how the tools are actually built, which is also why a tool's own page says plainly when that is true and when it is not.
How it stays free
Filevolo offers Filevolo Pro, an optional subscription that removes ads when available, clears the small credit line free downloads carry, and lifts the daily task allowance. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, with no phone call or hidden settings menu required - if a subscription business needs a customer to forget to cancel in order to work, that is a problem with the business, not a feature of it.
Where this stands today
Filevolo went live in September 2026 with a growing set of PDF and image tools, chosen and prioritized from real research into where this category's existing tools fall short - stingy free tiers, uploads that were never actually necessary, ad experiences that get in the way of the one thing you came to do. If a tool you need is not here yet, it is more likely still being built properly than skipped.
Found a bug?
Tell us at [email protected] which tool it was, what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead (plus your browser, if you know it). Please describe the problem rather than attaching the file itself - these tools exist so your documents don't have to leave your device, and a bug report shouldn't change that. Recent fixes and additions are listed on What's new.
Questions
How a specific tool works usually belongs on that tool's own page - most have a short FAQ answering the things people actually ask about that operation. For anything else, get in touch at [email protected].
