Most file tools ask you to upload a document to a stranger's server and hope for the best. Filevolo's core PDF and image tools are handled differently: the processing happens using your own browser's engine, so your files never have to leave your device for those operations.

The free allowance is 10 tasks per day, shared across the tools on this browser. The remaining count appears on each tool page. Filevolo Pro removes this daily cap and the Filevolo credit on downloads. Large files still depend on your device's memory and processing power.

For tools marked "processed in your browser," no: the file is handled on your device and never sent anywhere - this covers the large majority of Filevolo's tools, including OCR, which runs its text-recognition engine locally rather than uploading your document. The few tools that do need a server (Sign & Send, Secure Share, Secure Note) say so plainly on that tool's page, along with what happens to the file and when it is removed.
