How to Create a QR Code for Free
Turn a URL, Wi-Fi password, or short message into a QR code that works forever, with no account and no expiry.

A QR code is just a way to hand someone a link, a password, or a short message without them typing it - point a phone camera at it and it reads back instantly. QR Code Generator creates one from whatever text you give it.
What you can put in it
Any text works: a website URL for a poster, menu, or flyer, a Wi-Fi password so guests don't have to type a long string of characters, a phone number, or a short plain-text message. A single code holds a few kilobytes of text - plenty for a URL or a short note; very long text shows an error asking you to shorten it.
Download it and it works forever
The code is generated entirely in your browser and saved as a plain PNG image. Once downloaded, it has no connection back to Filevolo and no expiry - it works for as long as the information inside it stays valid (a URL that later goes offline, for instance, is a problem with the destination, not the code).
Keep it scannable
Leave the blank border around the code alone - that's the "quiet zone" every real QR scanner relies on to find the code's edges, and cropping it off is a common reason a code that looks fine on screen fails to scan in person. Keep good contrast between the code and its background, don't stretch the image out of proportion, and test the final printed size on an actual phone before printing a large batch.
Common questions
Does the code expire or need an internet connection to work? No. It's a static image with no connection back to Filevolo or anywhere else once downloaded.
Can I put a Wi-Fi password in it? Yes - that's one of the most common uses, letting guests connect without typing a long password.
Is anything I type uploaded anywhere? No. The code is generated entirely in your browser.
