How to Delete or Reorder Pages in a PDF

Removing a blank scan or a page that does not belong, without touching the rest of the file.

A scanned document with a blank page in the middle, a cover sheet that should not be there, a signed contract where two pages ended up in the wrong order - these are small problems, but reprinting or rescanning the whole thing to fix them is a bigger hassle than it should be.

Fix it

  • Open Organize PDF Pages and drop in the file. Every page shows up in a list, in its original order.
  • To remove a page, click the X next to it. To move one, use the up and down arrows - nothing is written until you save, so it is safe to experiment.
  • Click Save, then download the result.

How this is different from Split PDF

Split PDF is the right tool when what you want is one continuous block of pages - "pages 3 through 8," for example. Organize PDF Pages is for picking an exact set, including pages that are not next to each other, or putting pages back in an order that is not simply "start to finish." If a scan has a stray blank page in the middle of an otherwise fine document, that is a job for Organize PDF Pages, not a range.

Common questions

Can I remove more than one page? Yes, remove as many as needed, one click at a time, as long as at least one page is left.

Will this change how the remaining pages look? No - pages you keep are copied through exactly as they were. Only the set and order of pages changes.

Is my file uploaded anywhere? No, the whole process happens in your browser.
