Drag a PDF here, or choose a file

Works best on a PDF with a clear table - not a scanned image.

You can also paste a file directly (Ctrl+V or ⌘V).

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to a server at any point.

A Best-Effort Table Extraction, Not a Table Detector

There's no reliable way for a browser to know which part of a PDF is "really" a table versus just text that happens to line up. Filevolo looks at where each piece of text sits on the page and groups it into rows and columns based on that spacing - it works well on a PDF with a clear, simple table (an exported report, an invoice, a data listing) and less well on merged cells, multi-column layouts, or dense prose.

One Sheet per Page

A multi-page PDF becomes a multi-sheet workbook, one sheet named after its page number, so a table that spans several pages stays easy to find and doesn't get mixed together into one sheet.

Frequently asked questions

It needs real, selectable text with a table-like layout. A scanned image has no text to extract at all - run it through OCR PDF first. Dense prose or a complex, merged-cell layout may not come out cleanly.

It's a best-effort heuristic based on text position, not true table recognition - check the result before relying on it, especially for anything with irregular spacing.

Each page becomes its own sheet in the output workbook, named by page number.
