Convert WebP to JPG

Convert WebP images to the more widely supported JPG format, processed in your browser.

Drag images here, or choose files

WebP only.

You can also paste a file directly (Ctrl+V or ⌘V).

Select more than one file at once with Filevolo Pro.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to a server at any point.

Convert a WebP for an upload form

Choose a .webp file above and wait for the download result. Filevolo draws the decoded image at its original pixel dimensions and saves a new JPEG. Download that file and select it in the destination form. Renaming the original from .webp to .jpg does not change its format and can still cause an upload to be rejected.

What changes in the output

JPEG encoding is lossy, so inspect fine lettering and sharp edges at full size. Transparent pixels are placed over a white background. An animated WebP becomes a single still image; this tool does not export its animation. A small WebP can produce a larger JPG, so choose this conversion for compatibility rather than assuming it will save space. Free output includes a Filevolo credit.

Keep transparency or reduce dimensions instead

For a logo that must sit on a colored background, use WebP to PNG instead. If a form rejects the image because of its width or height, changing the format alone will not help: resize it to the dimensions the form requests. If the file will not open here, check that it is an actual downloaded image, rather than an HTML error page saved with a .webp extension.

Why Convert WebP to JPG?

WebP has excellent modern browser support, but some older workflows and applications still expect JPEG files. Converting to JPG can make the image easier to open, attach, edit or submit in those systems.
