Compare two PDFs and see every word added or removed between them, processed in your browser.

Drag the original PDF here, or choose a file

This is your starting point - version 1.

You can also paste a file directly (Ctrl+V or ⌘V).

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to a server at any point.

Stop Reading Two Contracts Side by Side, Looking for What Changed

When a contract, a policy, or a report comes back with a new version, the real question is usually simple: what actually changed? Filevolo reads the text out of both PDFs and highlights every word that was added or removed between them, so the difference is obvious at a glance instead of something you have to hunt for manually.

Compares Text, Not Pixels

This reads the actual text content of each PDF and diffs it word by word - it doesn't compare the visual layout, images, or formatting. A change in font or spacing with identical wording won't show up as a difference; a changed number, clause, or sentence will.

Frequently asked questions

Any word added or removed between the two files' text, shown highlighted directly in the result - green for added, red and struck through for removed.

No, only text content. Two pages that read identically but look different (font, color, layout) won't show as changed.

Upload the original (starting point) first, then the revised version - the comparison is directional, showing what changed going from the first file to the second.

Only if it already has real, selectable text - a scanned image with no text layer has nothing to extract. Run it through OCR PDF first if it needs one.
