How to Add a Signature to a PDF

Open your PDF, draw or type your signature, position it on the chosen page and download the signed copy - no upload required.

Draw or Type Your Signature

Drawing can work well on a phone, tablet or device with a stylus. On a laptop or desktop, a typed signature may produce a cleaner result - choose whichever method suits the document.

Frequently asked questions

No - this draws a signature image onto the page you choose, the same as signing a printout and scanning it back in. There's no identity verification, audit trail, or certificate behind it. For a document that needs a legally recognized e-signature (a contract, for example), use a dedicated e-signing service instead.

Not yet directly - a page with a rotation applied isn't supported for placement yet. Straighten it first with Rotate PDF, then sign the result.

Whichever looks more like your real signature. Drawing with a mouse rarely looks natural; on a phone or tablet with a finger or stylus it usually looks better. Typing your name in a script font is often the cleaner-looking option on a laptop.
